SO what is happening here?
Is it that I'm doing something wrong
or is there a problem with the code/quizizz patched it?

It was patched, lol. Look at the date of the repo, it was last updated 2 years ago. If a variable that the code is fetching from the server is undefined, it's reasonable to assume that the variable no longer exists, or was renamed on the server. Not that hard to reason bruv.
